It’s happened! Yoof’s website is now in the top 8 hits if you google ‘Yoof’. Now there’s something to tell your children/grandchildren/friends! www.yoofyoof.net is the window on what’s happening with the group. It’s packed with photos, our own brand of ridiculous suggestions and ideas, and our Thought for the Week based upon what we have been learning. A weekly visit to the site should be a priority for you, if only to keep you praying for us!
December saw May and Jim and Alison as guests of honour at the annual 5 course candlelit dinner. Cameron (our very own Jamie Oliver) organised his willing(?) helpers including the indefatigable Magan and Drew to produce a fantastical feast of festive fare. Already we look forward to next year.
With 6 of the group leaving school this year we are aware of the need to keep interest and growth in the group as a whole. This Easter we plan a major event, ‘The Zone’. Our plan is for the first week of the Easter Holidays, to run an evening cafe with a variety of zones for games. A speaker each night, live music and a different cafe theme (French, Italian, Chocolat, Australian and Caribbean), will keep our team busy. The event is primarily being organised by the S6 and students of the group, for S1-5s, and is part of our in—house leadership training. Please spread the word! We need to get the word out to all the secondary school folks. It’s going to be a great event. April 6th -10th - Avendale. 7-9pm nightly.

Praise Night and Fellowship Night
Yoof have been working on music for a praise night on
Sunday 11th April 7pm.
A mix of old favourites, and some new songs. We hope loads of folk will come to share in worship and then share food together in the hall.
